Best GTA 5 Like Open World Games on Mobile 2026 (Android & iOS)
GTA 5 has not been officially released for mobile yet.
But if you want to enjoy a big open city, drive cars freely, complete exciting missions, shooting, and explore without limits, then this list is perfect for you!
In 2026, there are many great open-world games that give a similar experience to GTA 5.
I have selected only the best ones that run smoothly on both Android and iOS phones.
1. GTA: San Andreas – Definitive Edition.
Rockstar Games completely remastered this legendary game, and man, the graphics look beautiful now! The lighting, the reflections, and the touch controls feel so good.
Game experience
You enter the game as CJ, start from the bottom, fight with rival gangs, hijack insane cars, and slowly take over the entire state.
Now, listen carefully—this is a premium paid game, so you have to spend some money to download it. But honestly, it is completely worth it because it works 100% offline.
If you love a massive, deep single-player story mode where you can spend hours doing crazy missions, just go and grab this right now!
Open Google Play Store → Search game name → Install and play.
2. Gangstar Vegas: World of Crime
You are dropped straight into the neon lights of Las Vegas, and the scale of this game is just next level.
There are heavy machine guns, alien weapons, and you can customize your supercars to make them look absolutely wild.
The shooting mechanics and arcade driving are so much fun.
Even in 2026, the developers keep dropping seasonal updates, so the game never gets boring.
The best part? It is completely free to play! But yes, because it's free, you will see some annoying ads popping up, and there are optional in-app purchases.
But if you don't care about a long, emotional story and just want to start a massive war with the police right after spawning, this is the ultimate game for you.
For secure download, always install this game from the official Google Play Store only.
Games overview.
This isn’t just a single-player sandbox — you’re thrown into massive online servers where real players are doing their own thing.
You can race against others, trade custom cars, or even join roleplay servers where the gameplay feels completely alive and unscripted.
What I personally like about MadOut2 is that no two sessions feel the same. One moment you’re racing, the next moment you’re in a full-on city fight — it’s pure chaos in a fun way.
That said, let me be real with you — this game is heavy. If you’re planning to play on max graphics, you’ll need at least a decent mid-range or high-end device. On low-end phones, you might face lag or frame drops.
Overall, if you have a good phone and a squad to play with, MadOut2 turns into a complete open-world playground. Definitely worth trying if you want that “GTA Online” vibe on mobile.
If you liked this game, just search it on Play Store and jump into the action 🔥
This game takes a sharp turn away from the flashing lights and drops you right into the fascinating, moody bayous of New Orleans.
What makes this title unique is the progression system—it actually lets you build your own criminal kingdom, claim private islands, and customize luxury mansions while fighting off rival gangs in strategic turf wars.
The main thing to note before installing is that it requires a constant, active internet connection, so it won't work offline when you are traveling.
It is highly rewarding for players who love map exploration and the feeling of slowly building up an empire.
If this game looks interesting to you, you can check it out on the Play Store.
Available on the official Google Play Store.
You want to play this one of the masterpiece game then download it.
5. Payback 2 – The Battle Sandbox
If your smartphone struggles with heavy 3D graphics but you still want pure action, Payback 2 is a literal masterpiece.
This game doesn't try to blow your mind with realistic visuals; instead, it focuses 100% on pure arcade fun with tank battles, high-speed helicopter races, and massive city-wide brawls.
Since it has been around for a while, the user interface and overall look might feel a bit old-school compared to newer titles.
But it is exceptionally lightweight, completely free, and runs flawlessly on almost any budget device out there. It is the perfect timepass game for quick, action-packed gaming sessions.
I never force to download but you want to play this game then download from play store .

🎮 My Honest Opinion on These Games
Honestly speaking, I’ve tried most of these GTA-style games, and every game gives a different vibe.
GTA San Andreas still feels like the king when it comes to story.
It’s old, but the gameplay and missions still hit different even in 2026.
If you want a proper story-driven experience, this one is still unbeatable.
Gangstar Vegas is more like a full action-packed mobile version of GTA.
I personally liked how smooth the missions and shooting feel, especially when you just want non-stop action without thinking too much.
MadOut2 BigCityOnline is pure chaos 😂
Sometimes it feels fun, sometimes totally random — but if you play with friends, it becomes way more enjoyable. Alone me utna strong experience nahi deta.
Gangstar New Orleans is decent, but honestly not as strong as Vegas. Still good if you want open-world freedom in a different city style.
Payback 2 is simple but super fun. Low-end phones ke liye perfect hai. Graphics heavy nahi hai, but gameplay timepass + fun dono deta hai.
